Ardara Stone Quarry, formerly operated by Morrow Stone, is set to return to full operation.
Local Company McMonagle Stone, will undertake to restore the quarry to full production capacity. This secures supply to the national and international market of a unique stone found only in County Donegal 'Silver Grey Quartzite'.
Dan McMonagle commented on the announcement;

The quarry was originally operated by Charlie Morrow, who commenting on the change of ownership Charlie said;
"The opportunity for the Ardara Quarry to return to full production is great news for the local area and employment. In the current difficult economy, it is therefore a positive step that investment is being made in the industry at this time as well as securing continuous supply to past customers.
