McMonagle Stone recently supplied two Sandstone Monoliths to the Irish Memorial in Quad- Cities, Davenport, USA.
The Irish Memorial honors those Irish men, women and children who left their homes and families and settled in the Quad-Cities decades ago. Over a million Irish left their homeland during the Great Potato Famine of 1845 - 1849 and dispersed throughout the world.
On October 18, 2011, the sculpture and the two, 4-tonne, 11-foot-high sandstone monoliths were positioned in to place at the memorial site. (See construction photos)
